Hi, I was wonder, how would you reinstall your OS if the store you bought it from just gave you a recovery disk?

Not that my new OS is in trouble but for the future I want to know. They gave me 2 recovery disks for Windows XP Professional(I think it has like Media edition or something else with it).

The computer I bought was a HP computer from Curcuit City.

What if I wanted to just reformate and all that? How would I do this from recovery disks? Or can I?

all you would have to do...is put disk one in the cd drive and boot from it...it will take you through the steps to return the machine to factory settings
