Is it true that you can have Nforce 4 SATA problems with Maxtor Drives??

I am planning to get the Maxtor DiamondMax 10 - 250GB 7200rpm 16MB buffer. I am not planning to run multiple HDs though. Is SATA when you run multiple HDs??
