ive connected up my hd to be slave i want 2 formatt but no hardware was detected i go 2 my computer and all that shows is local disk (C:) but i dont want 2 formatt incase it formatt this computer and not my slave hd :tazz:

follow this article. does the computer detect the slave drive as it boots up? (bios) because if it doesnt show in bios then you've done something wrong and disk management won't see it either. but if it shows up in disk management, you can use that to format it so that it will appear in my computer.

no nothing shows up in disk management so what shall i do 2 put it right
