After a sever spyware and trojan infestation My computer is almost back to normal. One think is missing completely are the devices in device manager. It shows up only as a blank white screen with no devices shown at all. Any Idea how to get this back? My Scanner and Printer semmed to have stopped working because of this but everything else seems fine. Thanks for any help

Hi cyclopz...

There are a couple of things we can try for this...

Click Start then Run and type regedit...click "Ok".

Expand (click the +) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, then SYSTEM, then CurrentControlSet, and right click on Enum...choose "Permissions"

Click on "Everyone" in the Group or Username box and check the top two checkboxes in the "Permissions for everyone" box. Click on "SYSTEM" and do the same. Click "Apply" and "Ok" and exit the registry editor.

Reboot and try the device manager...let us know if this worked for you.
