I'm so sorry to have to bring ya'll into this, I just couldn't handle it anymore! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ididnt want to have to completely reformat the computer, I have so much stuff I need on here!

Hi house :)

There's nothing major showing up in your HJT log. There is one entry that should definitely be removed and a couple of optionals that could improve your PC performace. The optionals are coloured blue and if you wish to remove these from starting up each time you use your computer, please include them in your fix. The NeroCheck, QuickTime and ViewMgr software does not need to start up automatically and could be slowing your computer down.

Please re-open HiJackThis and scan. Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below.

Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked. Close HijackThis.

Reboot into safe mode.

Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

[/b]Please delete these files using Windows Explorer(if present):

ALCMTR.EXE <=== you need to search for this file using Start -> Search (ensure you search all subfolders and for hidden/system files)

After that, Reboot.


Let's see if we can do a scan to find any nasties hiding on your computer :

Please download WebRoot SpySweeper from HERE (It's a 2 week trial):
  • Click the Free Trial link under to "SpySweeper" to download the program.
  • Install it. Once the program is installed, it will open.
  • It will prompt you to update to the latest definitions, click Yes.
  • Once the definitions are installed, click Options on the left side.
  • Click the Sweep Options tab.
  • Under What to Sweep please put a check next to the following:
    • Sweep Memory
    • Sweep Registry
    • Sweep Cookies
    • Sweep All User Accounts
    • Enable Direct Disk Sweeping
    • Sweep Contents of Compressed Files
    • Sweep for Rootkits
    • Please UNCHECK Do not Sweep System Restore Folder.
  • Click Sweep Now on the left side.
  • Click the Start button.
  • When it's done scanning, click the Next button.
  • Make sure everything has a check next to it, then click the Next button.
  • It will remove all of the items found.
  • Click Session Log in the upper right corner, copy everything in that window.
  • Click the Summary tab and click Finish.
  • Paste the contents of the session log you copied into your next reply.
Also please reply with more information about your symptoms... is your PC slow all the time, only when doing certain things, only when connected to the internet etc. Are you having any other symptoms such as popups, freezing, crashing etc.
