DEVICE MANAGER EMPTY

k..my device manager is empty but i can search internet and do things fine...
i think this is the reason my network connections folder is also empty

so i searched the internet for solutions
and tried:
-plug and play solution
-regedt32 :"enum" solution

but still no answer......
help needed fast..

Hi davidkimdd, Welcome to GTG !! :tazz:

Click Start, Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.
Double-click Plug and Play
If you receive a Configuration Manager message, click OK
In the Startup Type list, click Automatic, and then click OK
Close Services.
Restart the computer

See if that works !!

ive already posted the things i tried above and that was one of them

Try the following:
Start -> Run.
Type: regsvr32 dmocx.dll
Press <enter>.

ok..i tried that....and it said succedded...but now what happens??/

I would like you to go to You Must Read This Before Posting A Hijackthis Log

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself.
If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum with "POSSIBLE ROOTKIT" in the title.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread
