You have the latest version of VX2. Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

http://www.atribune....oads/l2mfix.exe
http://www.downloads....org/l2mfix.exe

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Maybe when you went to download the file you opened it from it's location instead of saving it to your desktop. Either way it sounds like you have the right folder on your desktop now. Open the L2MFix folder you have on the desktop and Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Ok lets do this a different way:
  • Download finditnt2000xp.zip.
  • Unzip the contents of finditnt2000xp.zip to a convenient location.
  • Navigate to the Find It NT-2K-XP folder and double-click on find.bat.
  • A command prompt will open and it will search your computer for malicious files.
  • Once it has finished a Notepad window will pop up with output.txt.
  • Copy the entire contents of output.txt into your next post.

When you click the link to download the file are you choosing the option to "Save to disk"? If not then that's what you need to do. Then after you have the file you need to open it with a program like "WinZip" you can get that here for free:

http://www.winzip.com/downwz.htm

Once you install that program then when you double click on any .zip file it should automatically start Winzip and then just click "Extract" and it will ask you where. Pick a spot (I just use my desktop) and click ok. Then go to the new folder on your desktop and double click find.bat and post the contents of the log back here.
