I was having problems with several Office 2003 apps, so I reinstalled over the existing files. It didn't occur to me to backup my exixting files before the reinstall. Where are the data files stored, and is there a way to restore them if found? I remember hearing of a utility that does this, but I haven't found it. Any ideas?

Removing office does not necessarily remove the data files.

The default location is

C:\Documents and Settings\{PROFILE NAME}\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

search for *.pst

If it is gone, you maybe able to recover it with PC Inspector file undelete
