Hi all

When using the WinXP (Roxio) in-built CD burning wizard, even when burnt on slower speeds and whether on write once or re-writeable discs - produces nothing.

Right-clicking properties on the CD icon gives an indication that data has been written - and this can be visually checked by looking at the CD surface. Nonetheless, although it says bytes are on the disc and that zero k is available, the data is in RAW format - and nothing appears in the cd, whether viewed via My Computer or Windows Explorer.

Even tried viewing disc contents in DOS - nothing!

Any suggestions please.

Many thanks

:) Thanks for the free cd burning software tip.

I am still curious why XP's built-in wizard doesn't work however - I'm burning data CDs, so any further help would be appreciated. Is CD burning within XP notoriously buggy for example? :tazz:

Cheers

No but crap media and faulty drives can contribute a lot.

In an ironic way, it's quite possible that your CD writer doesn't like reading the types of blank CDs you've putting in it. Try another drive/computer to see if that can read it.

What happens when you burn with Nero or something?
