Hello. I just have a silly question. The computer we have XP on is totally messed up do to a virus and no matter what we try, we cant fix it properly. We have a Windows 98 disk from an old compter and have the product key # for it. Our question is can we reformat the newer computer using that disk?

You can, though its a bit long winded.

You'll do far better to boot off your XP CD and wipe it that way.
