My hard disk is unexpectedly full.. ? Could this be as a result of a virus? I have done a full norton AV scan, removed IE cache files, defraged, and removed all unecessary programs and I still only have less than 10 percent free on a 54 GB hard drive.. ? I remember a time when I had more programs and files on the computer and yet I had 30 or more percent free. What could be the cause of this? What can I do?

Deleted old restore points? emptied recycle bin? What about temporary files? If not, run the disk cleanup or CCleaner and remove these and then run chkdsk, after that defragment once more if needed. Also check out this link to see if u've missed anything
