when i start up my computer first time, I only the mouse arrow showing and blank screen while windows xp is loading, how do i prog it to show a welcome screen or my picture?

To get the welcome screen:

Start -> Control Panel -> Users Accounts -> Users Accounts in the Control Panel Icon section -> Change how users log on or off -> Check Use the Welcome Screen

If it is checked then uncheck and Apply the options. Then reopen and now check Use the Welcome Screen. Apply the options again then restart the system to check if it applyed the option. Hope that this helps.
