Armodeluxe you've got to help me out. i've read one of the thread where this guy had this win login error. im not sure if it's the same as mine but i need help.

Posted Image

when i log in, i get that.

my computer administrator told me to restart my computer. so i did, and it works. however, at times it doesn't. and i have to restart serveral times. but now, after restarting my pc many times, it still didn't work. after shutting it down and rebooting it up. it still didn't work.

also, when i get this error. i cant access to certain sites. like yahoo mail, or gmail. (im not sure of other sites, but this is what i've come accross.) and some forums as well. and i believe gmail has nothing got to to with msn, neither does yahoo mail. and they never got down for more than a few hours. so why?

the last time i touched on hijackthis, my computer had some weird thing happenening. i forgotten what. but i just had a bad experience on this. so if possible, i'll just wait for advices. until the last resort, i'll use hijackthis.

Hi beanie,

Before I could offer any solutions I need to see a HijackThis log. HijackThis itself when just scanning is harmless, it's just a program that scans certain areas of your registry. What makes it dangerous is only when it is used to fix items without the supervision of a trained helper.

So please post a HijackThis log and let's look at your system. Here's the proper way to download it:
  • Download HijackThis by clicking here, but don’t hit “Open”, but “Save as”. Then navigate to your desktop, and hit “Save”. After downloading, minimize all windows until you’re on your desktop.
  • Now double-click on the zip file containing the HijackThis.exe file. Select the HijackThis.exe, and hit the combination “Ctrl + C”.
  • Minimize the zipfolder, and go to My Computer. Double-click on C:/.
  • In the menu bar you’ll find “File”. Click it, then choose “New”, and then “Folder”.
  • Call this folder HijackThis. Double-click to open this - new - folder.
  • Now use the combination “Ctrl + V” to paste the HijackThis.exe into this folder. Now double-click on the HijackThis.exe in the folder you’ve just created, click on "make a scan and save the log" and please post that log.

First, Download LSPFix.exe to a convenient location such as your desktop. Do NOT run this program. This is only to be used if you lose Internet Access after removing NewDotNet.

1) You have a LOP infection, which is most often transmitted by the sponsor program of Messenger Plus! 3 Please uninstall it completely from Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs and restart your computer. If you wish to keep the program once the infection is gone you can reinstall it without the sponsor program.

This link explains it better:
http://chooseknowled...senger-Plus.htm

2) To Get rid of NewDotNet, go to:

Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs and remove the following:

New.Net Applications or New.Net Domains (anything that says New.Net)

If it is not there, go here and follow Procedure 4.
(ONLY if you can't find the New.Net in Add/Remove programs).

In the event that you lose Internet access after removing New.Net, please double-click LSPFix.exe that you downloaded earlier. You will see 2 panels. If there is any file listed in the "Remove" panel on the right-side, leave it as is and just click "Finish>>" then reboot your computer and you should now have access to the Internet.. If nothing is listed under the "Remove Panel", do NOT do anything - just close the program. You will need to use another computer to come back here for further instructions on what to do.
If the uninstall was successful, reboot, come back to this thread and post a new log by using the Add Reply button at the top.

i did remove New.net from the Add/Remove Programs. they came up with a pop up and i just clicked ok without reading. im not sure if it's a positive pop up. but there is no more New.net after i clicked ok. then on after i restart my computer. i did not check on whether or not New.net is there. however, i have just check my Add/Remove Programs, and New.net or any of such names is not there. (will double check it again later on. im on my laptop now)

please assist me on this problem and thank you. =)

Follow those instructions and then please post a new HijackThis log.

hi there armourdeluxe,

i have tried their ways, and the first two did not work. when i try to download the NNuninstall from their Procedere 4, my AVG anti-virus detected a virus.
Posted Image
right now, the alert is still on my screen. i dont know to click delete or send to vault. i tried clicking heal, but it did not work.

im just stuck at whether or not to allow NNuninstall the stay on my computer. should i? is it safe?

EDIT:
alright, i dont know what AVG did to the file i downloaded called NNuninstaller, it dissappeared from my desktop. i checked my virus vault and found it. restored, but i still cant run it. it gives me some error upon double click. now i try to re-download it again from NewDotNet (the page you gave me above), but i got the error saying,

"File Not Found Error

Address Not Found Error

Protocol Not Known Error

Connection Failure Error

Net Timeout Error

Redirect Loop Error

Unknown Socket Error

Net Reset Error

Offline Error
The file /support/NNuninstall.exe cannot be found. Please check the location and try again.

The address (URL) is not a valid format and cannot be read. A typical address will start with "http://", followed by an address, (e.g. www.netscape.com), followed by a path to the content (or just "/"). A common cause for the problem is using backslashes(\) instead of forward slashes (/).

The file specified by the address (URL) cannot be found. Check that the file exists and that you have sufficient permissions to view it.

The address (URL) does not correspond to a known site and could not be loaded. This could be due to a misspelling in the address or because the site does not exist. If the address is known to be valid, or if the problem occurs for many sites, it may be an issue with your proxy service (if you use one) or the directory name service lookup. In such cases you should consult your system documentation, administrator or Internet Service Provider (ISP) as appropriate for further assistance.

The address (URL) starts with a protocol that is not recognized by the browser. A protocol is the part at the front of the address, such as http: or ftp: which tells the browser how to connect to the site. In this instance, the protocol is unknown so loading cannot continue. Check that the address is correct before retrying.

The browser was unable to connect to the specified site, even though it exists. This may be because the site does not accept connections from your computer, the service may be down, or the site does not support the service or port that you tried to connect to.

The browser timed out while trying to connect to the specified site. The site may be experiencing high loads that are slowing it down, or network problems are preventing data from being received from it in a timely manner. If the site is likely to be busy, consider waiting a few moments before retrying the request.

The browser has stopped a connection because the site is redirecting requests to itself in a manner which prevents it from ever completing.

The site responded to the network request in an unexpected manner. This may be due to address (URL) using the wrong protocol for the specified port, or a non-standard configuration on the site which is running different services than expected.

The link to the site was dropped unexpectedly while negotiating a connection or transferring data. This may be due to a network fault somewhere between the site and your computer. If the problem persists, consult your system documentation, administrator or Internet Service Provider (ISP) as appropriate for further assistance.

The browser is currently offline and cannot connect to the requested site. Place your browser in online mode before trying again.

Try again"

holycow, the page displays only one line but when i copy and paste(look below this sentance), it pasted so long! T_T. please help me.

Ok then, let's remove it manually..
  • Please download LSPFix from here.
  • Disconnect from the internet and run the LSPFix.exe that you have just finished downloading.
  • Check the I know what I'm doing box.
  • In the Keep box you should see one or more instances of newdotnet(somenumber).dll.
  • Select every instance of newdotnet(somenumber).dll and move each one to the Remove box by clicking the >> button.
  • When you are done click Finish>>.
the .dll to remove will look something like this, but the number may be different: newdotnet6_98.dll..if it is already in the remove box, just click Finish.

After that, delete this folder:

C:\Program Files\NewDotNet

Then post a new HijackThis log.
