[Trigger1813]

I was wondering f somebody could advise me of what to get rid of and fix etc?

Any help I can get would be good as I havnt a clue what to do, although I am pretty sure that WinSerAd.exe and WinServSuit.exe are viruses?!

Ok Trigger lets get to work Buddy!



First lets have you boot into safe mode and enable all files to be seen.

Press F8 after the Power-On Self Test (POST) is done. If the Windows Advanced Options Menu does not appear, try restarting and then pressing F8 several times after the POST screen.
Choose the Safe Mode option from the Windows Advanced Options Menu then press Enter.

After your in Safe Mode THEN do this:

Double-click My Computer.
Click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
Clear "Hide file extensions for known file types."
Under the "Hidden files" folder, select "Show hidden files and folders."
Clear "Hide protected operating system files."
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Navigate to these folders and delete the entire contents and then the folder itself

C:\Program Files\Windows ServeAd
Theres an updated version of HijackThis in our downloads and a link in my signature please update to this version and Please post a new log!


Whats important is that you understand how to prevent this in the future!

I would also download Spybot search and destroy from our download section, run it and update it and then "immunize"
