I have a RAID 0 configuration on my computer with 2 hard disks & now when i switch my computer on, it firstly takes ages to change from the Intel Pentium 4 logo at bootup and then loads in the RAID configuration and is showing that one of the hard disks is "missing". I had not touched the internal cabling at all. Any idea what could be the problem or why it suddenly stopped working.

If you go into the bios (by pressing del or f2 when you see the p4 logo) does it list 2 hard drives in the boot menu?

No, there is only one. The one which is shown as missing is not there in the BIOS. I checked the cables & there's no problem there. When I switch the computer on I can hear this noise coming from the "missing" hard disk, as if it's head is unable to spin. Any idea?
