photo upload problems

Hi all, second problem in two days, they come in threes so expect me to be back in here tomorrow. I have been trying and trying to upload photos to my e-mail address, both hotmail and yahoo, even signed up for that photo sending thingy with yahoo, and still no luck, my page just hangs and hangs, and only way to get rid is to task manager and close the page. I know that my upload rate is pretty low, but still should be able to do this. My ISP is NTL, I am on a 2meg line, and my up/l rate is about 100k???

Any ideas, cos I have grandparents getting at me for photos, and I cant just pop em round there co they live 6000 miles away in CA.
