CD/DVD RW CRC Errors

I am getting the error message "logical unit Communications CRC Error (Ultra-DMA/32) (040803)".

I am runing Windows XP Prof SP2 on a ASUS A7V400-MX 1.03 motherboard. The errors are
occuring with my LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1673S drive when I run Nero's CD-DVD Speed test utility.

I am not sure if it is the motherboard, the operating system or the drive. Any suggestions???
