I don't know how to set up an account in thunderbird - can I use any email address I want? I'm in need of desperate help.

Thanks numb, but I don't know how the email account works. Say I wanted my address to be [email protected] would i just type that in? Or does it have to be hotmail or yahoo or something. And what are the incoming server and usernames?
