I created a little cartoon in Flash MX, and when I uploaded it to my site, It would'nt play. I tried uploading normal flash, the .html, i think ,php, the whole nine yards. Whats wrong?
I think It may be that I have no idea how to do loading screens. Hellp!!

Is it like...

/yourcartoon.fla ?

Are you just uploading the main flash file?

Or are you uploading the .swf file?

The .swf file is the movie when you export in flash.

Try putting the .swf file on there and it should work.

Also, urls are case sensitive so if you have any capitals like /FlashCARTOON.swf then you have to put them in.

Yeh.
If you wan't to upload a flash movie or game you have to export it to swf. In fla mx go file>export movie. From the drop down menu at the bottom chose swf. Save it as whatever you like, chose the width and height that you want it to view at, and press ok. You should now be able to upload it. :tazz:

And remember to choose the quality of the movie. The higher the quality, the higher the .swf file size!

No go. I run a site on tripod. I click "Add Flash", upload the .swf , and select normal size, and in same window.
But when I try to view it, I see a white rectangle.
Go fig.

What did you see. A starry circle, which slides off, and then a gray blob pops out of a telescope, and hits a guy?

Seems the Flash is working just fine for me. although it did take a few seconds to l9oad. Might i sujest going to newgrounds.com and gettign their preloader, it's free to download and has isntruction built in, that way you can verify the Flash movie is loading for you in your browser.

have you tried visiting the site on a computer other than your own, like a friends or something? there could be something wrong with your web browser or your comp in general if your site isnt working right, and the site magosis gave you is not showing up. but it works fine for us.
