Hello Geeks To Go,
I currently am using limewire and recently got a virus which i removed after reading past advise on your website (very helpfull cheers). Now when i do a scan either norton or ad-awareSE,a long time is spent inspecting hundreds of .zip files contained in the above folder (c:\documentsandsettings\neilbooth\complete\) the folders inside all have "adult" names to say the least. I have tried to remove this folder but cannot find it anywere, including using the windows search option, and killbox.i have no downloaded files of that nature on my pc, i dont even have any zip files on my hard drive that i know of, let alone the hundreds that these searches show, do you have any ideas about this problem, does this file even exist? i have done a hijack this log and included it below, but if im honest, i dont really understand what it all means, thanks for readin this and hope to hear from you, madalchemist.

I'm sorry about the long wait, it would appear your log was accidently overlooked.

When you searched for this folder, did you configure Windows to Show all hidden files & folders first?

If not I suggest you do that first and then search again.

Your HijackThis log is clean by the way.

Was it the Alcan worm you had?

The following online virus scan disinfects anything to do with worms.

Panda ActiveScan
  • Once on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button and then the Check Now button on the nex screen.
  • Enter your details in the required fields.
  • Then click the big Scan Now button.
  • Allow the Active X component to install and download the necessary files. (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
  • When the download is complete, click on Local Disks to start the scan.
  • Upon scan completion, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location.
Post the Panda log in your next reply please along with a fresh Hijack This log. :)
