My cd rom seems to be working when I install a cd, but I keep getting a window that says D drive cannot be accessed -Retry. The drive seems to be spinning, but the light keeps flashing on and off continusly,even after inserting the CD multiple times it still does the same thing. Help what is wrong? Tom

First try a simple reboot of the computer,
Does the drive show up in my computer?
Check device manager are there any red or yellow marks?

I tried that couple of times,but still comes up D:\ drive not accessible Retry.In My Computer the D drive does show up,when i check the hardware settings it shows that it is working properly.Tom
