I've got a problem. I try and run the Sims 2, and an error message comes up saying "Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system! Please make sure you have a DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufacturer. The application will now terminate." I've already downloaded Directx 9.0 and the message continues to come up. I've looked at other websites and they didn't help much! Someone please help!! :tazz: :)

How about your display adapter drivers. Can you find an update for them, that might be all you need? Otherwise you might need a new AGP card.

Go to the Intel site and see if they have updated drivers for your video. It may be considered part of the chipset, and they have updated chipset drivers.

tattoolover420469...

I just went through this issue with my daughter's machine with the same chipset. No go...the onboard video just won't run Sims2...believe me, I tried everything. A new video card solved the problem...make sure you check the Sims compatability page before you buy!

Tyger...very good suggestions and I tried them all to no avail some months ago...your logic is right on the mark! :tazz:
