Hey Battery55 :tazz: alright lets get down to buisness.

First, you must uninstall Messenger Plus. You have a LOP infection, that is known to come with Msgr Plus. MessengerPlus3's sponsor software is C2Media. It is installed when user's don't read the EULA ( End User Licensing Agreement), you know all those words that pop up that you have to click "I ACCEPT" to. If you don't uninstall it until we are through, your infection will not be cleaned up!
If you wish to re-install MessengerPlus3 when we are finished cleaning you up, you need to
Make sure you click "I refuse, do not install the sponsor program".

Also did you install PartyPoker ??? If you didnt We recommend uninstalling it from Add/Remove programs. It is Ad Supported therefore Popups. (this one is up to you)

Please print these instructions out for use in Safe Mode.

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to extract the files
  • This will create a VundoFix folder on your desktop.
  • After the files are extracted, please reboot your computer into Safe Mode. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode then hit enter.
  • Once in safe mode open the VundoFix folder and doubleclick on KillVundo.bat
  • You will first be presented with a warning.
    It should look like this

    VundoFix V2.15 by Atri
By using VundoFix you agree that you are doing so at your own risk
    Press enter to continue....

  • At this point press enter one time.

  • Next you will see:

Please Type in the filepath as instructed by the forum staff
    and then press enter:

  • At this point please type the following file path (make sure to enter it exactly as below!):
    • C:\WINDOWS\system32\gebyx.dll

  • Press Enter to continue with the fix.

  • Next you will see:

Please type in the second filepath as instructed by the forum
    staff then press enter:

  • At this point please type the following file path (make sure to enter it exactly as below!):C:\WINDOWS\system32\xybeg.*
This will be the vundo filename spelt backwards. For example, if the vundo dll was vundo.dll you would enter odnuv.*
  • Press Enter to continue with the fix.
  • The fix will run then HijackThis will open, if it does not open automatically please open it manually.
  • In HiJackThis, please place a check next to the following items and click FIX CHECKED:O2 - BHO: MSEvents Object - {B313D637-F405-4052-AC37-E2119AB3C8F8} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\gebyx.dll

    O20 - Winlogon Notify: gebcc - gebcc.dll (file missing)
    O20 - Winlogon Notify: gebyx - C:\WINDOWS\system32\gebyx.dll
  • After you have fixed these items, close Hijackthis.
  • Press enter to exit the program then manually reboot your computer.
  • Once your machine reboots please continue with the instructions below.
Download and install CleanUp!

Hey Battery55 :tazz: I am going to talk to some of the Operating System Techs to try and find out whats up with your safe mode issue. If you can give me as many details about what is happening.

Did you uninstall Messenger Plus ??? If not please Go to: Start> Control Panel> Add/Remove Programs and UNinstall Messenger Plus3 .

Next
Lets try this again:
Please run this online virus scan:
You will need to be using Microsoft Internet Explorer to do this scan : Link to ActiveScan You may have to right click that Link and select Copy Link Location and then Paste it in Microsft Internet Explorer's Address Bar and then click GO.
Click the "Scan Your PC" button in the middle of the page.
You will have to Allow the installation of Active X controls.
You will have to enter a valid e-mail address.
Then click "My Computer" when it asks what you want to scan.
Save the Report after scan finishes. (somewhere you can find it)

Copy the results of the ActiveScan and paste them here along with a NEW HiJackThis log

Thanks
retrac :)
