i have window xp operating system and installed adware se 1.06r.
i have uddates the defination file
but wheni scan the system -it get stuck when reaches folder-c/window/sytem32/icsxml.
it does not hang the system but just stop searching further.
may i know why it happening so -as i haev scanned with panda online scan and also have updates window updates. and there is no other problem in running my comp

go ahead and stop the scan. let it clean up what it found and then rescan the system. the file icsxml is important to the operating system. Its what contains the info regarding "plug and play".

i am not being able to run adware se.it gets stuck on certain folders and does not move-i have reinstalled it -again same problem
i scanned my computer with panda online -and came out clean-why is adware se not working

I have one more idea. Try running Disk Defragmenter. Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragmenter.

Defrag then reboot and try running Ad-Aware again..

lol :tazz: i had already did that-defragmented disc,scanned with panda online scan,use spy bot,reinstalled adware but no use:( it will not work

have you tried booting into safe mode to run the scan?

yes i have tried running in safe mode too-but same prob
