Most, if not all reputable companies will replace software / product keys
Microsoft will replace any of their software if you damage or lose it
Glad you have sorted it
Thank You for letting me know

Obviously we cannot get involved in providing a substitue product key
I would install Zone Alarm free then turn the XP firewall off, then download AVG Free
http://www.filehippo...zonealarm_free/
http://www.filehippo..._avg_antivirus/
This will give you the option of having a firewall and anti virus programme while chasing Symantec to get the original product key

canadianchicklet...
Do you still have the computer with Norton installed? You can retrieve the product key from that by opening the application, clicking on Help and Support, choosing "About Norton Internet Security" from the menu, and clicking on the "Internet Security" tab.

If you can get the computer to run at all, even in Safe mode, recovering that key would sure save you a lot of aggrivation....
