Well you just have to unzip it then upload it to a folder on your server say called forums, then it would be /forums.
Also, on the phpbb website they have good tutorials about setting it up.
And the board requerers your server to suppory mysql because it runs of a mysql database.

Well yes you will use an ftp because how would you upload it.
And you need to check if your server has enough memory to put it on and when more people post, the memory will get bigger so you better watch out on that one.
Also, you need to check if your server supports mysql.

If not, you can try one of the free mysql database providers.
http://www.freemysql.net/ is the only one I can think of right now, but there are a few more, you can probably google it

And you have to watch your server space if you are on a tesco server. (They might not provide enough mb for a big forum)

Well you unzip it, then on your tesco server make a directory called forums or whatever you want to call it then upload the files there.
And, if you call the folder say 'helloforums', the you will go on the url /helloforums and then it will display the forums.
Also, when you have uploaded it, you will need to put in your server details and your mysql details.

It is an option when you make the post. Only admins and mods on most boards can sticky and announce
