Just this week I have started to receive the following message when I reboot.
Blue screen with red box with message
Nav Auto protect unable to read the config file.

Do not know what caused this. When I enter ok bootup continues and everything seems to works ok.

Running Windows 98
Thanks

Welcome bandbtravel! <_<

You Norton Anti-Virus Auto-protect program is failing to load at start-up. This could either be caused by a conflict with another program, or by a virus or trogan acting on your system.

Have you recently installed any software? If so, try uninstalling it to see if that works. If not, I'd uninstall Norton A.V. using the add/remove programs option in the control panel, restart and then reinstall it.

If that doesn't work, there's also a help document from Norton that can be found here
