Task Manager issue

Hopefully this is easy. When I press CNTRL+ALT+DEL, I get the process list rather than the App list. Why? How do I return it back so that I an able to end unresponsive programs, as I used too? Thank you.

Assuming you are using windows XP, there should be 5 tabs across the top of the window just under "file, options, view, etc". If you click on the "Applications" tab it should showall the open programs on the computer. Usually task manager will open with the last tab you had open showing. Hope this helps.
