I got 4 different Linux OS at my house, and I forgot that Slax is the one that has problems with removable media. Sorry :tazz: .

I will let dsenette tell you his temporary windows solution. I'm not sure what he has in mind, but if it doesn't work, you could download the Ultimate Boot CD for Windows. This CD is full of diagnostic tools and could be very valuable right now and for future problems. The only catch is you need a XP CD in order to make the UBCD.

Once again I'll be logging on and off today for the next 5 or 6 hours, so we can help you to get your problem solved quickly if you check for our responses.

depending on your internet connection...yes...it's not a small file...sorry...hehe but once you get it..and get it working...this process will become a little easier

Hve been trying to remove the Linxus CD from drive, but I ca't it to open. Not certain what to do.

get a paper clip...unfold it till it's straight...then push it firmly into the small hole that is next to the eject button on the drive.

Got the CD out. First time I downloaded I saved as a temporary file and it said it couldn't be put on CD. Trying again, this time as a saved file.

ok...put it in the cdrom and boot the computer....
make sure that you have selected your cdrom drive as the first device in the boot order..
