is the video card your getting a pci express?

If its not then get rid of it. Dont let a agp video card hold back on your upgrade to a new pc. If your wanting a new pc now you do not want agp!!!

I listed 2 motherboards, pick whichever meets your needs if you want sli or not.

You will need a case and an operating system also.

I always let the customer pick out there case.

total came to $930 using the sli motherboard and $2 less using the non sli motherboard without shipping ect..

You can find a case for under $70 to meet your budget. Just pick up an operating system at your local store. Win xp or the new win xp 64 bit. The 64bit os is more..

Thats an awesome price for that much of a machine. It has the amd dual core x2. You might want to get an nvidia video card to match it in the near future.

Nice system jrm 20 put together for you all top line stuff'

jrm20 is right get rid of that card I paid 100 bucks for that card over a year ago i am sure it ain't worth 50 right now even though the retailers may want more.

You have to go pci express with any new system

How do you want me to remake the list. To stay under the 1,000 dollar range with a high end video card is very hard.

Id get what I listed above then go for a nvidia 6800gs to go along with it. The 6800gs is really a great priced card, I dont see how they sell it for $209. Look on newegg if you want to see it. If you want more video card power go for a geforce 7800 gt or gtx. 7800 gt is only $299 average. 7800 gtx is $450-$460 average for 256 mb versions.

If you got a 6800gs which would be fine for you, the cost of the pc would be the $930 from before + $209 for the 6800gs. $1139 is not bad at all FUM. Add shipping also.

You could get the 3800+ instead that would drop the price back down, the 3800+ is still as fast enough cpu to run anything you want pretty sharpish and it overclocks the best out of all the x2s.

Yeah the 3800+ x2 is only $78 cheaper, thats why I suggested the 4200+ because it has the best price.

Any amd x2 will be killer.

Well you could downgrade the CPU to something cheaper like mines, gets the job done for any game at the moment,(i intend to get an X2 when the 4400+comes down in price, its the good one with the 1meg cache) a monitor will come in at a fair bit of your budget, so you could also get just a gig of value select and again upgarde later to some better stuff and get the good mobo, gfx card and monitor now.

Motherboard, I picked out the Sli motherboard because you might decide to get 2 video cards. (only a few dollars more than the non sli mobo)

I spend a extra long time configuring this for you and trying to get everything to stay under the budget. Its really hard to stay under $1,500 with all of this stuff and with shipping also. I dont know how much shipping will be but without shipping it came around $1,432.72

The mouse and keyboard are cheap but it will match your aspire case and stay under the budget. I was starting to run out of funds for the budget......

I hope your happy, that is the best I can do for all of these parts. Your getting alot of top end hardware believe me, for under $1500. :tazz:
