New dude with Vundo & WinFixer [RESOLVED]

Hi. Thanks to this and another forum site I think I know some of what I need to do to get Vundo (WinFixer too?) off my computer, but I'm really out of my league. :tazz: (the smiley stuff is a first for me; ) I will post what I know and I sincerely appreciate your assistance!

Norton has detected the Vundo virus on "C:\Windows\system32\jkhff.dll", but is unable to remove it.

Symantec's removal tool said it couldn't find it when I ran it in Safe Mode.

I just downloaded HijackThis and VundoFix.exe and here is my HijackThis log:

I ran VundoFix.exe and typed the file path C:\WINDOWS\system32\jkhff.dll and then the path C:\WINDOWS\system32\ffkj.* and "fixed" those.

I ran CleanUp! and then an online scan of My Computer from kaspersky.com/virusscanner which created the following log:

Thanks for your reply. I am super excited to say that I am finally rid of Vundo and WinFixer! :)

My computer wouldn't let me delete the jkhff.dll file even after using killVundo and HijackThis because the file would immediately run and couldn't be accessed. With the help of a friend, however, I was able to boot in XP's Recovery Console (I'm talking over my head, but hopefully it makes sense) rather than into Safe Mode and deleted the file at the prompt.

Once deleted I scanned and cleaned my computer, and it is back to normal now. I'm in the process of backing everything up and I'm glad to have learned a little bit through this and appreciate Geekstogo and another site for recommended free tools for putting better protection on my computer.
