I'm looking for something that will interface a USB hard drive to a home entertainment system (eg. TV, Stereo, etc) and will play mp3, wma, mpg, etc. I can buy a dvd player at walmart that'll do this off a dvdr for $30, is there anything short of a laptop pc that will do it from usb ?

Seems like a good idea. All my music & home movies fit on this 300 gig drive I just bought, I'd love to be able to take all this stuff in the den where everyone could use it.

there are home mp3 players...and what not...but...usually the best way to get that stuff (music and videos) to your tv is to use a mediacenter type pc....with a tv out video card that will let you connect the machine to the tv....so far that's the only all in one type device that i've seen.....a computer
