Can anyone out there help me with my problem, i have call of duty and i want to play the multiplayer over a local connection, but when my roomate creates a game, i can't pick it up on the join screen, i have it under local and connection LAN but no matter what we try we can't get it to work, when i create a game and dediate it as a LAN this console screen shows up???? whats going on with this thing! can any one help it would be greatly appreciated! thanks !!!

Do you both have the same exact patch for Call of duty ?

LOL, I know your problem. Im the one that has that pinned topic in games about how to open a cod/uo server @home.
When you get that console your talking about dude, minimize it then go back into the game again then find your server.
Since your playing on lan make shure dedicated is set to LAN.
If your sharing a cd key put punkbuster to disable.
Try putting server to pure server.
