starwood,

Sorry for the delay in responding. You can try removing Norton Internet Security through add/remove programs (select Start-Control Panel-Add/Remove Programs. If that doesn't work, follow this link. This will take you to a page with a removal tool for the anti-virus portion of Norton 2003 Security. Follow the steps there first. Next. go to this link for instructions on removing the rest of the program.

Please post back here and let me know how it went.

Thanks,

starwood,

Here's a revised post - sorry about that link, I'm not sure why it didn't work.

That's OK I cut and pasted it and got it to work. It was great! I have my system restore back.

You guys are the best.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Can you suggest any settings or programs other than the ones I already have to keep this garbage off my system?

starwood,

That's great! I'm glad everything is working again. You're doing well as far as protection and scanning programs. I would recommend keeping all your programs up-to-date, and scanning with spybot and adaware on a regular basis. Also, I would suggest a firewall, since you've un-installed the one included in Norton. One I recommend is Kerio - http://download.keri....1.5-en-win.exe. This is an older version, but is generally considered less bloated than the current version, and just as effective.

Thanks,
