ME has a bad habit of letting the memory and hard drive get filled up, plus it doesn't seem to like anything that uses the DOS mode, and those are the most common reasons for freezing. And it needs a lot of memory, I did a quick check on memory needs for OSes, win98SE used 53mb, winME neeeded 73, win200pro needed 78, winXP home needs 120mb. And ME manages it's memory more poorly than the others.
