hey, im wondering if any of you are able to tell me a way that i can open the cod uo console window so i can exec a config file, without opening the game.

reason is that i want to run my server on a laptop which does not have a graphics card. so when i try and start the game, i get all sorts of errors telling me that my graphics card is missing etc etc...

i figured that if i could open the console without clicking the link on the game menu, that i might be able to do it..

ive also tried changing the properties of my cod shortcuts to "../CoDUOMP.exe exec dedicated.cfg" but this still seems to want to open up a gaming screen..

hope someone can help me out, i asked someone else and he sed that id need to do something with the shortcut properties...

cheers, PHOENIX :tazz:

launch the game. when it brings up a window you then can choose to launche a dedicated server. at that point it should bring up a console window with the game serving. there are also some thirdparty tools that can assist. I highly recomend checking out http://fpsadmin.com/

thing is m8, i cant enter the cod multi main menu... it shuts down when i click the link because on my laptop (the one i want to serve from) it wont play cod because it does not have a graphics card installed. cod comes up with a message sayint "cannot find your graphics card. (see attachment) is there a way of opening just the console by itself, without entering cod...

cheers, dan

You will need to make a shortcut of cod on the desktop and right click it then goto the target line and add the appropriate settings.

By adding + each time will allow you to open a server from the command line...

Hey dan. Yeah no problem.

I have a pinned topic on making a cod/uo server @home.

Everything you need to know is in there.

If you use a router you have to enable a function called dmz or dmz host.
