Tomb Raider 1 on pc Blotchy

Hello , i got Tomb raider 1 on pc and was wondering why the Graphics are poor even though my Graphics card is good it seems rather blotchy and the sound quality is Rubbish here are my pc specs

Intel Celeron D 2.53GHz (2533MHZ)
XFX Nvidia Geforce FX 5200 128MB ( Drivers Are up to date )
C-Media 8738 Sound PCI-Card
Kingston 768MB DDR RAM PC2700
40GB Seagate HDD
48x Speed CD-ROM & DVD-ROM

Here are the games specifications needed:

60Mhz Min / 90Mhz Needed
2x Speed CD-ROM
8MB RAM , 20MB FREE HDD Space
SVGA VESA local bus graphics card and 256 Colours Monitor
Supports all major Sound Cards
Supports all major Joysticks

Now i know this game should run without problems i have tryed running it on compatibility mode Windows 98/ME but still no good is there a way i can stop this

A game can only look so good. Especially an old game like that. Even if you had the latest 7800 gtx running that game it will still look like crap. Its an old game, graphics back then really sucked.

Its the games 3d engine, it can only look so good and a new video card wont help much at all for old games.
