If we can safely rule out your ISP and router then yes I do think it has something to do with exchange. Are you looking to just get your form working? We can go with another work around to get it to mail, however if you would like to get exchange to relay I can help with that aswell. It really all depends on what you are going to do with that machine.Iif you are only using it to host your site and are going to run linux machines for your clients website hosting then a work around is applicable, however if you are going to host those sites of the windows machine then we need to get to the root of this problem.

What's the other way we can go with Windows, and what do you need to know about the exchange Relay? I really need to use it for my clients. I do have have a Linux Debian Dist. on my network, but since I'm more familiar with Windows, I would greatly want to stick with it, but, if anything, I may consider linux.

Still, what's the way around, I would try asp for my form, but I don't know asp, not that I know php....lol

If you could help with Exchange Relay, I would GREATLY, Appreciate it!

Can you set your mail client to use localhost as its relay and successfully send mail?
If so then we are having iis permission problems not exchange.

Set my mail client has localhost, I'm not quite sure I'm following you.

Open outlook express, set up a mail account, enter you email addys..., set it as a pop3 and set incoming (not important for this test) as localhost, and set outgoing as local host ans then send a message to your external email ie hotmail account... display any errors you recieve.

I did a test settings, and I get the following error message:

Send Test e-mail: Unable to sent text messag. Please Verify the Email Address Field.

And when I change it from Localhost, to mail.jrm-hosting.com and smtp.jrm-hosting.com for POP and SMTP, successfully completed.

Disregard the one about the localhost not working. It's working for Local host.

See the thing is when you have a php or simular based site... clinet wise.. they often rely on localhost to handle their mail, this means when someone send a user registration from their forum, it will try and send it through localhost unless you instruct them to do otherwise. Do you understand what I mean?

So, how do I fix that problem.

In PHP.ini I have the smtp set to the IP or should I just have it set to smtp.jrm-hosting.com

So How do I correct this Relay problem for localhost?
