Hello
I'm operating a Hp Pavilion 751n My problem is that the Hard Drive only works in the user HDD mode
if I set the bios to default all I get is a black screen with a flashing cursor
any and all help is apprecated

Hello,
I'm not really understanding your problem. Does the OS boot up when the bios is set to "user HDD mode"? If so, why are you trying to change the bios?

the only reason is when I set the bios to default it changes it changes it from user hdd to auto and I think it used to work on auto

Does it really matter, or is this just something that's bugging you? Perhaps the builder set it up this way, in which case it should work fine. If it matters that much to you, you may just have to redo your machine to fix it. May not be worth it.
