Need help with HiJack This Log [RESOLVED]

I have doe the follwing:

Scanned with updated Norton Antivirus
Scanned with Panda Active Scan
Scanned with updated SpyBot
Scanned with non updated Adaware
Scanned with non Updated TrojanHunter
Ran CleanUp
Ran CWShredder

Note: whatever the PC is infected with is preventing the AutoUpdate features of SpyBot, Adaware, and TrojanHunter from completing a defintions update. The programs just lock while attempting an update. I was able to manually update SpyBot by downloading the fully updated version from the web site.

Welcome to Geeks to Go and please accept our apologies for not getting to you sooner.

I've had a look at your HJT log and the only possible peoblem I can see the Toolbar for what may be a rogue programme. See this website: http://www.spywarewa...nti-spyware.htm

Assuming that you agree to it, please continue with the fix and see if it helps at all.

Rescan with HijackThis. Close all programmes leaving only HijackThis running. Place a checkmark or tick against the following:

O3 - Toolbar: AdwareFilter - {1028F737-81E7-452B-A860-E50CAD90A08C} - C:\Program Files\AdwareFilterToolBar\AdwareFilter.dll

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

Reboot into Safe Mode: please see here if you are not sure how to do this.

Please set your system to show all files;
please see here if you're unsure how to do this.

Using Windows Explorer, locate the following folder, and delete it:

C:\Program Files\AdwareFilterToolBar\

Exit Explorer, and reboot as normal afterwards.

I removed the AdwareFilter app as you suggested then I realized that Norton Security was keeping the malware removal apps from accessing the internet and allowing me to update the defintion files.

The PC shuts down in about 15 seconds now and it was well over a minute before.
