All the above arent "exactly" accurate. Im running COD 2 with a PCI FX5200. I overclocked it to 295 core and 440 memory and COD 2 runs fine. I have the settings a bit above average. Its a BFG fx5200. The rest of my system is a 2.8 p4. 1 Gig of pc2700 corsair ram. Alot of my success with this card, which btw runs all of the newest games, is cooling. Ive got a full size tower with 4 fans built into the case larger than average processor exhaust and a pci fan slotted directly under my card. My system stays at about 72 degrees and keeps the card running smooth. The fx 5500 will run COD 2 just fine as well as a 5200 if you cool it right and have a decent amount of ram and which driver you use.

Some of the other games I run are:

DOOM 3 - on high
Madden 06 - on high
NHL 06 - on high
NBA Live 06 - on high
Toca - on high
Need for speed Underground 2 - on high
Need for speed Most Wanted - about 3/4 of the way up
Tiger Woods 06 - Default settings
Star Wars Battlefront 2 - on high

5200's and 5500's suck comparred to todays cards but if your stuck with a pci slot like myself then they are the best cards you can buy. As soon as I cant run games anymore Ill be going to a pci-e board and at least a 6800 gt.

Glad your 5200 works for you. I dont see how a card at 6.4Gb/s can play those games on high if so I bet the anti alias and antistrophic and other settings are off. Its going to be getting around 30-40 fps or lower I bet for all of those games on high. In game 30-40 doesnt look good at all to me and is almost unplayable. Really is unplayable. Im glad it works for you but when you upgrade you will see what im talking about.

Upgrading from 6.4 gb/s to a 32 gb/s or greater video card, you will be like OMG! Trust me...


I know alot more info about the newer aged video cards and I dont mess with older video cards at all.

I have seen a fx 5700le play doom 3 and other games and it looked like crap. The 5700le is 6.4GB/s also and a newer core... Really choppy the whole game play and it doesnt let up at all.
