There are only 2 differences between the two.

The Deluxe has a second RAID controller - the Nforce4 chipset has RAID built-in so all boards have at least one but the Deluxe also has an onboard Silicon Image RAID controller. The nice thing about the SI controller is it also gives you hardware RAID5 (the Nforce one only gives you RAID0, 1, or 10). Really handy if you're building a media server with lots of hard drives.

The other thing the Deluxe gives you is dual Gigabit Ethernet controllers (vs one GigE on the non-Deluxe version). Not that big of a deal really.

Bottom line - the main value of the Deluxe version is the hardware RAID5 (a separate PCI 4-port RAID5 controller will easily run you $200-300 or more, depending on the brand). If you don't care about RAID5 then stick with the basic version.

The above was taken from a review of both boards.

They usually come with a slightly better guarantee, look at other boards almost all the nf4 boards have a standard and deluxe and the price and what other feautures you get varies from board to board.
