i never used to have any lag or latency...now when i play i get huge lag, my latency goes about 300 most of the time...its not video lag, my comptuer is good and i cna run half life 2 on all high settings...

before i connect to servers the latency is what it used to be when i played (around 30ish)
once i connect to the server and start playing its goes way up

i am on a wireless network, 2 computers sharing 3Mbps dsl, but the other computer doesnt use too much bandwidth...

anyone know what i cna do to fix the lag?

I would run a full set of anti spyware and anti virus scans, and then check the permisions on your router and firewall, then make sure the internet speed setting is correct in the steam settings.

Honestly not sure on the specifics of that router i could look it up but im not going to lol, it will be under something along the lines of port fordwarding or application gateways, www.portfordwarding.com should give you the proper ports to open up(there is alot of them for steam and CSS). Google should kick a few things up, also the steam tech support are really good, steam is a real pain when it goes wrong, most probs are fixed by just trying things and it will eventually fix itself or you reinstall it.

It happens, im sure there is, you would be better looking on some dedicated CSS sites for that info, ive never had that much of a problem with it so i havent need any tweaks but they are there for you to find.
