I've been informed that I have a firewall operating by the Blizzard downloader for WoW, but I can't figure out what this firewall is and how to mess with it. I've done some research and right clicked My Network Places - right clicked LAN - Properties - Advanced - there is no check in the box. Does that mean I don't have a firewall activated? I'm confused and this is hindering my download speed. My end goal is to be able to open and close ports freely. Any help will be thanked for in the future and pre-thanked right now, thanks.

You should install a firewall, Zone Alarm is a popular choice

Click start, control panel, security centre, turn off XP Firewall after you have installed it
