I have two computers, both XP. Computer A is connected to the wireless router via CAT5 cable; Computer B is connected wireless to the network router. Both have Internet access. Computer A has a printer on USB.

I recently tried to setup a home office network so I can file share between the two computers, as well as Computer B printing to the printer connected to Computer A. I used the Network Setup Wizard on both computers, but nothing is happening. What am I missing? The Wizard said that I successfully setup the network and file sharing/printer sharing, but it's not. Is there one or two more steps I need to do in order to see each others computer?

I had it networking when one was Windows 98SE and the other XP, but after the Win98 was upgraded with a brand new harddrive w/ XP, I can't get it to work.

Can someone give me any tips? :tazz:

I found the answer myself, which I would share to help anyone else who might run into this simple problem.

The simple thing that I had to do was to turn on the Simple File Sharing, which is found in My Computer>Tools>Folder Options>View, then select the Use Simple File Sharing (Recommended) check box to turn on Simple File Sharing.

Once the file sharing was enabled, I was able to Add Printer which was connected to the other computer.
