my cd rom and dvd rom were working properly, but now i dont know why when i wanna put a cd or dvd in my computer it says that there is no cdrom or dvd rom attached! i dont know what to do. please help my dad is gonna kill me!!

Hi and welcome to Geeks to Go. This is a posible fix from M$: http://support.micro...om/?kbid=320553 upper and lower filters, drive not found. A word of caution: This fix involves accessing the registry, which can be dangerous if you don't know what you are doing. The M$ document posts necessary precautions to take. I suggest telling your dad before you undertake this fix.
