Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminte
it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's
support team for more information.

this happens as soon as i turn on my computer. And my only choice is to click ok.. and once i have done that, my screen goes blank and all i have is my mouse pointer still visible then about 10 seconds later everything becomes visible again, but the Runtime error comes back.

My Computer specs:

Windows Xp Home Edition
SP2
512 MB of RAM

I've looked to see if anybody has had this problem, and other people have, but they fixed it by deleting Google Tool Bar, and I dont have that tool bar, or any other toolbar.. Please help me if you can, Thanks.

Some program is probably being started when you start your computer that requires it.

Is your computer at all usable once you finally clear the pop-up or do you always just end up with a mouse cursor?

Can you boot to Safe mode?

Problem fixed, i ran a bunch of different types of virus and spyware scanners, but i found one that did the trick, it found 744 high risk trojans and spyware downloaders... no more error message, thanks for your help anyway :tazz:
