I have an XP Pro computer which has had an attempted repair done. It hangs during device installation with 33 mnutes left to go. I believe this is symptomatic of the context plus spyware.
Using Shift F10 I opened the add/remove window but ContextPlus was not listed. I then tried to run the apropos fixing software (http://swandog46.gee.../aproposfix.exe) but it would not run properly - presumably because it wasn't in SafeMode.
I rebooted to the Recovery Console and tried running it, but the commands are protected and it won't run. How can I run the software? Do I have to mount it in another computer and if I do, what about the registry?

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.
