installed a stick of ram in a windows 98 machine to make the total ram 256mb. it was 128mb. now it says in bios upon startup that there is 256mb of ram, but in windows system properties, it only says 128mb. would this be due to the fact that the ram is mismatched (not the same kind in both ports) or does there need to be something more done for windows 98 to recognize the ram? any help would be appreciated :tazz:
