Hi there, for the past 2 weeks I've slowly been finding out that my spyware (ad-

aware and spybot search and destroy) haven't been romoving the same i

nfections. And then I noticed that my deleted files weren't going into my recycle

bin and my recycle bin always showed that I had 40 files in it even if there was n

othing in it. There have been pop-ups galore as well. I've really tried reading a

lot of other peoples similar problems, but nothing is helping. Thanks in advance

for any of your help. :tazz: ;)

Hi RollWithAK

You need the latest version of VX2. Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

http://www.atribune....oads/l2mfix.exe
http://www.downloads....org/l2mfix.exe

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Hi RollWithAK

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread.
Along with a new hijackthis log.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!

Hi RollWithAK

First download LSPFix by clicking here:
http://www.snapfiles...get/lspfix.html

Please, make sure that all IE browser windows and internet connections are closed. Run the program (LSPFix) and click the "I know what I'm doing" box. Highlite all instances of dolsp.dll and move them to the "Remove" side and click finish. Don't remove anything else there.

Hey, i did as you instructed, however, when i was searching for the files you told me to look for in windows explorer, I could not find about 6 of the files. They were the 2nd,3rd,4th,7th,9th and 10th files you listed. Anyways, here is my new hijack...

thanks, RK

Is there no more help out there? There are still problems on my PC. How did the new hijack logs look?

Hi RollWithAK

Please set your system to show all files; see here for how to do this if you're unsure.

Press Control-Alt-Del to enter the Task Manager.
Click on the Processes tab and end the following processes:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\wkkgik.exe

Exit the Task Manager when finished

Close all programs down, leaving only HijackThis running.
Place a check against the following items:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {2D23730E-6827-5846-65B0-E611B410EB9A} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7B8022BB-0189-F639-B02D-0862B9CC1974} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {D5F4DF72-1207-5B6E-C6FF-661CB246C513} - (no file)

Click on Fix Checked and exit HijackThis.

Reboot into Safe Mode: see here if you don't know how to do this.

Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files/folders, and delete them:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\wkkgik.exe
(no file)

Exit Explorer, and reboot as normal afterwards.

Post back a fresh HijackThis log and we'll take another look.

Hey KC, I am not sure what is wrong but it will not let me open my "TASK MANAGER." It opens up but when I move my cursor on the screen, it disappears. Also, every time I start my computer, the "MY DOCUMENTS" folder opens itself up. My computer seemed to be doing better but now it's acting very funny again. Also my instant messaging program, AIM keeps putting an away message with a link on it that I'm not putting up. Even when the program is off it is trying to start AIM up and put the message up. I'm going to go ahead and run Hijack This and delete the three things you said and then post a new log. Thank you so much for helping me through this.
